Popular Gustav Klimt Framed Art Prints

Customer favourites include luminous portraits and ornamental masterpieces that pair beautifully with timber finishes and rich textiles.

      How to Style Klimt Prints

      Living & Bedrooms

Choose a single A1 or A0 hero above a sofa or bed. Natural oak frames warm Klimt’s colour; smooth matte black adds structure to graphic poster reproductions.

      Dining & Entryways

Pair two A3 or A2 prints for tidy balance. Echo gold and jewel tones with cushions, ceramics and soft lighting for cohesion.

      Decorating Tips

Mix one Klimt hero with complementary Famous Art posters for a layered gallery wall. Add linen and brass accents to enhance Klimt’s decorative richness.

      Choosing Sizes & Frames

      • A4 & A3: Ideal for hallways, study nooks and gallery walls.
      • A2 & A1: Balanced scale for living rooms and bedrooms.
      • A0: A statement centrepiece for open-plan spaces.

      About Gustav Klimt

Gustav Klimt (1862–1918) was an Austrian painter and leading figure of the Vienna Secession, known for radiant colour, ornamental pattern and a rich synthesis of fine and decorative arts.

      Gustav Klimt

Trained as a muralist, Klimt developed a highly personal style that fused realist portraiture with flat, stylised motifs drawn from nature, classical myth and world art. His celebrated “Golden Phase” brought gold leaf, casein and oil together to produce jewel-like surfaces that shimmer between figure and abstraction.

Influences ranged from Byzantine mosaics and Egyptian ornament to Japonisme and the Arts and Crafts movement. In masterpieces such as The Kiss and his portraits of Adele Bloch-Bauer, Klimt set sensitively modelled faces and hands against fields of symbolic pattern. This tension between the lived presence of the sitter and the decorative plane behind them became his hallmark, giving the works both intimacy and graphic impact when viewed across a room.

Klimt’s motifs are full of encoded references: spirals and eyes, floral tessellations and geometric tiles that suggest cycles of life, desire and renewal. Landscapes, painted mostly in later years, translate the same vocabulary into mosaic-like meadows and forests, where small strokes build dense, atmospheric colour. The result is a body of work that feels sumptuous yet modern, bridging nineteenth-century craftsmanship and twentieth-century design.

Klimt’s legacy extends well beyond painting, shaping fashion, interiors and graphic design. Today his images remain instantly recognisable for their luminous golds, emerald greens and lapis accents.

Reproduced as high-quality giclée prints, these works retain crisp detail and tonal depth, making them ideal as statement pieces for living rooms and bedrooms or as anchors within a gallery wall. Their blend of human warmth and refined ornament helps contemporary spaces feel both personal and elevated.
